The Third Cut: $100,000 USDC Trading Competition on Katana Perps
June 10th to June 24th, 2026
Two competitions in, and the Katana Perps trading community keeps showing up. We are running Competition 3 with a new structure built on what we learned from the first two rounds. This one runs two full weeks, gives the volume pool more room to grow, and keeps the PnL leaderboard as a fixed bonus on top.
On June 10th we are hosting our third trading competition on Katana Perps. Users have 2 weeks to earn their share of up to a $100,000 prize pool in Vault Bridge USDC (vbUSDC).
The Pool
There are two buckets of USDC rewards:
Volume Pool - $10,000 to $90,000
Pro-rata share of total qualifying volume across all markets. Your payout is based on your share of qualified volume. We will publish a live leaderboard showing the top 50 wallets by volume.
The volume pool starts at $5,000 and grows with total trading volume:
$5,000 base pool
+$2,500 for every $5M in total volume
$90,000 maximum, reached at $170M+ in volume
PnL Leaderboard - Fixed $10,000
Top 15 wallets by PnL percentage take this pool. Minimum $250 collateral deposit to qualify. Leaderboard updates every minute.
PnL leaderboard payouts:
Rank 1: $4,000
Rank 2: $2,000
Rank 3: $1,000
Ranks 4-5: $600 each
Ranks 6-10: $240 each
Ranks 11-15: $120 each
Incentives Scale With Size Up to $100K USDC
The volume pool grows with every milestone hit during the two-week window. Each time a volume threshold is reached, the pool increases and you will see it reflected on the competition page in real time. The more the community trades, the more there is to win.
Funded by Vault Bridge Yield
The prize pool is funded by Vault Bridge, a structural Katana advantage. On Katana, bridged assets are deployed into yield strategies on Ethereum mainnet, and the yield flows back to Katana as protocol revenue. This yield funds initiatives like this competition and boosts returns for liquidity providers and vault depositors. The more the chain grows, the bigger the rewards engine gets.
Eligibility & Rules
Minimum: $10,000 minimum trade volume to qualify for the volume pool.
Deposit: Maintain a balance of $250 or higher to qualify for the PnL leaderboard.
Markets: All markets are treated equally for both pools.
Opt-in: All participants must opt in on the competition page.
Wallets: Any connected wallet can earn from the volume pool and PnL leaderboard. A referral code is only required to earn referral rewards.
Disqualification: Wallets showing evidence of self-referrals or wash trading will be disqualified.
Not Eligible: Market maker partners are not eligible.
Payout: Up to a 7-day finalization period after the competition ends for wash trading review and final payout calculations.
