The Objective of The Forge
Katana Perps is not just a dApp sitting on top, but a core application within the Katana stack.
Trading activity feeds directly into Katana’s flywheel from day one. The application will bring a stable, competitive, and organic flow of volume and activity to the Katana ecosystem.
The Points Program is designed to reward and incentivize:

We are fully aware of how traditional points programs have evolved. Early participants often capture the majority of rewards, while consistent and new users get diluted over time.
Our model evolves as activity grows, balancing early participation with long-term consistency, while remaining worthwhile for new users who join, stay active, and grow alongside Katana and Katana Perps.
Future seasons and rewards programs will continue this mindset.
How the System Is Designed
Katana Perps has been battle-tested prior to launch, so this is not a beta with rewards.
Deep liquidity and active order books were prepared ahead of launch, enabling support for a wide range of trading approaches from day one.
This allows the Points Program to focus on real trading activity rather than incentivizing artificial behavior.

Weekly Adaptive Model
Points allocations are reviewed and adjusted weekly to maintain balance between:

This ensures the system remains competitive without being overly front-loaded.
Sprint Structure
Here’s how the weekly cycle works:
Points are earned during 7-day “sprints”
Activity snapshot: Thursday at 00:00 UTC
Points distribution: Friday at 00:00 UTC
This structure allows participants to clearly track how their activity translates into points and develop strategies to maximize the opportunity.
Referrals and Points
The referral system is live in Season 1, though users must first reach a $50,000 notional trading volume to unlock it and receive 10 seats to share with friends. Referrers will earn a percentage of the points generated by their referees.
Additional referral activations and deeper integrations into the Points Program will roll out in the coming weeks and months as we continue exploring the social side of trading. It's worth building your teams early.
